On behalf of the French Society of Electrophoresis and Proteomic Analysis (SFEAP) we are very pleased to invite you at the 35th SFEAP Congress that will take place in the historical city of Albi. This congress is organized by two proteomics laboratories located in Toulouse and Montpellier in the Occitanie Region, and for the first time in collaboration with another European proteomics society from a neighboring country, the Spanish Society of Proteomics (SEProt).
The SFEAP 2018 Congress will take place from 9 to 12 October 2018 at the "Grand Théâtre" of Albi. Albi is remarkable for its architectural heritage. You will have the opportunity to admire its impressive fortified Sainte-Cécile Cathedral with its sumptuous interior, and the Berbie Palace, the former palace of the archbishops of Albi that is now housing the Toulouse-Lautrec museum. The Episcopal City of Albi is listed as a World Heritage site by UNESCO.
The "Grand Théâtre" was designed by the architect Dominique Perrault. It is localized at walking distance from the Episcopal City. It offers a bright and friendly reception area, an ideal space for coffee breaks and exhibition booths. Poster presentations will be displayed in a wide gallery and plenary sessions will take place in a 240-seat modular amphitheater. During lunch and the Gala dinner you will enjoy a panoramic view of the city at the roof top restaurant.
The SFEAP 2018 congress will cover all topics related to Proteomics. The program includes 7 plenary conferences and numerous slots for oral presentations selected from abstracts. Posters will be displayed at all time during the congress and several sessions will be dedicated to poster viewing.
A social time is planned to discover the beautiful city of Albi. You will have the opportunity to visit the Toulouse-Lautrec museum and the Sainte-Cécile Cathedral before the Gala dinner. For the first time a general public conference followed by a round table is also included in the program.
We hope you will enjoy the SFEAP 2018 congress and we are looking forward to meeting you there for a fantastic week of proteomics in the South of France.
